“Pentecost endowed mortal man with the power to forgive personal injuries, to keep sweet in the midst of the gravest injustice, to remain unmoved in the face of appalling danger, and to challenge the evils of hate and anger by the fearless acts of love and forbearance.” [UB 194:3:12]
Thought Adjuster: “Home is where the heart is, and, as far as I am concerned, you have not left home. You remain connected with Me, sharing your thoughts, concerns, and impressions, as well as the puzzlement you experience amid challenging situations.
“It is how I can divulge to you worthwhile personal objectives. Whenever you experience unsettling emotions, know that those are growing pains, symptomatic of areas in your persona in need of fine-tuning.
Thought Adjuster: “I do not always speak to you in a muted tone that you pick up with your inner ears. I also commune with you at soul level in a subliminal way.
.
“Learn to still your mind so that it becomes like a placid lake, unruffled by mental trade winds. It is the best venue for our encounter. You are still, fully receptive, and relaxed.
“Easy does it. At times, your eagerness to get to know Me stands in the way, as it has connotations of impatience or self-doubt—two restless emotions that adversely impact your state of receptivity.
Thought Adjuster: “Bright pockets of love and festering pockets of hate cohabitate on your world. However, the deep-pocket accessible for all to dip in is the omnipresence of God’s Love that hovers over All-that-Is. It needs an act of free will on your part to grant you unhindered access to such Love-in-Action. Indeed, love acts and activates.
“Hate-in-action conducts destructive rampages; it will eventually drive the nails in its coffin, as it can only come to the unhappy ending of annihilation by self-cannibalization.
“[Woman] failed to get social recognition during primitive times because she did not function in an emergency; she was not a spectacular or crisis hero.” [UB 84:3:3]
“Trustworthiness is the true measure of self-mastery, character.” [UB 28:6:13]
Thought Adjuster: “Let us address the sacredness of trustworthiness. During your life, you have to endure many trials and tribulations. When you process them adequately, you grow in wisdom, inner fortitude, and reliability.
". . . [M]ercy is a quality of growth . . . [T]here is a great reward of personal satisfaction in being first just, next fair, then patient, then kind . . . True mercy comes only as the beautiful climax to these preceding adjuncts to group understanding, mutual appreciation, fraternal fellowship, spiritual communion, and divine harmony.” [UB 28:6:8]
Thought Adjuster: “You asked Me how to detect my Still Small Voice. It speaks with confidence and authority—unlike the other tentative voice in your head. Why is it so?
“It is because I AM one with the Father’s Will; I Am in full agreement with the Spirit of Truth sent to counsel you; as well, I work in unity and harmony with the Holy Spirit of the Divine Minister. It is all made possible because We are the united Forces of Love and Light.
Thought Adjuster: “All that is asked of you is that you live ‘humanly’—as Jesus did. He succeeded in His ground-breaking human assignment by coming early to understand that there is more to humanness than meets the eye.
“To be truly human is to transcend the barriers of mortality. It is done in partnership with the Divine Fragment, who eagerly hailed from Paradise to indwell you at your first moral decision, inviting you to tag along for the epic ride of your eternal life.
[At age 20, Jesus] has very nearly mastered the technique of utilizing the energy of the spiritual drive to turn the mechanism of material achievement. . . he is learning to transform the difficulties of time into the triumphs of eternity.” [UB 127:6:12]
