“Can you not perceive that I have called you as ambassadors of a spiritual kingdom?” [UB 138:7:1]
Thought Adjuster: “Jesus’ disciples squabbled among themselves as to which positions of honor they would hold in the ‘kingdom,’ as they failed to comprehend that it was a spiritual institution—not a political one.
“Go seek for the sinners; find the downhearted and comfort the anxious.” [UB 138:6:4]
Thought Adjuster: “Jesus “was the pioneer of the new and better way to God, the way of faith and love.” [UB 138:6:4] In that sense, one could rightfully say that he was the human ‘founding father’ of the kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Faith is the sacred link to the Father, and love is the transforming balm that softens human hearts toward one another.
Thought Adjuster: “There is a third implicit element to Jesus’ ask-and-receive admonition. It is only logical that, if your asking is altruistic, you are meant to share what you receive with all. Genuine love is spontaneous in its sharing. It is how it finds its way to love-starved hearts.
Thought Adjuster: “A thorough and honest inquiry about the tenants of a situation divulges all relevant data to make a sound decision whose outworking won’t fall short of your fondest hopes and expectations. Lies cannot materialize their professed outcome, as their flimsy structure is bound to collapse unto itself.
Thought Adjuster: “In his rebellious coup, Lucifer took a stance at the Antipode of the divine ideal of truth, beauty, and goodness. He could no longer promote such a sublime mission statement once he made the fateful decision to go solo—thus seceding from the divine fold and becoming an outlaw activist.
“And whatever it shall cost you in the things of the world, no matter what price you may pay to enter the kingdom of heaven, you shall receive manyfold more joy and spiritual progress in this world, and in the age to come eternal life.” [UB 137:8:14]
“Jesus taught these men all they could assimilate. He did not make the mistake of overteaching them. He did not precipitate confusion by the presentation of truth far beyond their capacity to comprehend.” [UB 137:7:14]
Thought Adjuster: “Jesus deserved his reputation as an outstanding teacher of men—an uncompromising truth revelator. He taught with confidence and authority because his teachings were factual and experiential—not merely intellectual.
