Thought Adjuster: “Let us talk about Family Reunions.  As soon as their date has been set up, well ahead of time, the family members start making travel plans so that nothing prevents them from attending.  They are very much looking forward to being reunited with their beloved ‘tribe’ and the various branches of their family tree.  As well, they are longing to bask in the wise presence of their elders.

“In the olden days, the whole family would sit in a circle at the feet of their ‘wise’ men or women to listen to their stories.  They held in high esteem, as they understood the value of their hard-earned wisdom—their contribution to the tribal enlightenment. As well, in Native American Indian tribes, it was expected that the elder ‘shamans’ pass their botanical healing knowledge on to their apprentices in order to preserve the precious information. 

“Dear ones, you are part of a vast spiritual family.  It is up to you whether or not you send a positive RSVP to your personal invitation to the Family Reunion.  Would you rather stay home, realizing too late how sorry you are to have missed such a special event?  You are not the only one who will be disappointed.  What about your relatives?  You are depriving them of your presence, thus putting a damper on the joyous reconnections.

“The good news is that there is an ongoing Family Reunion, orchestrated from On High.  Your late arrival may be yet another occasion for celebration.  Didn’t the cheerful homecoming of the prodigal son exceed by far his anticipations?  As well, as you get to taste of the high spiritual atmosphere of such a gathering, you will be eager to tell others about it, thus awakening in them the desire to attend the next Family Reunion, letting nothing stand in their way.”
