A SMILE

Someone smiled at me today; it was pure magic.

The sun rose behind the foggy windowpane of my soul

Instantly lifting my chin and boosting my spirit.

That smile must have triggered some hidden switch

That added a playful bounce to my weary steps

And flipped my day sunny-side up without a hitch.

A smile is a soul connection where no word need be spoken.

It travels straight to the heart and sets much in motion.

Smile at your reflection whenever you get a chance!

Be your own cheerleader!  Practice, practice, and dance!

Turn your smiley face toward those who come your way

To infuse them with this precious nectar

Without any other agenda than to make their day.
