Butterflies go through a life cycle that involves several stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. The pupa stage is when the caterpillar turns into a butterfly.  Its old body dies and a new body forms within a protective shell known as a chrysalis…While some people think of a cocoon as a comfort zone, it turns out to be a place of tremendous inner activity where the caterpillar morphs into a new creature. Its old body is broken down and ‘recycled’ into something new.

Thought Adjuster: “The emergence of a butterfly provides you with a great parallel to your personal metamorphosis from a tiny embryo to a fully formed baby—your ‘pre-life’ in the motherly cocoon.  Your passage from the secrecy of the womb into the material outer reality marks your emergence into your next ‘incubation zone’—one intended to cater to the development of your embryonic soul—your spiritual gestational period.

“As well, this earthly ‘cocoon’ is far from being a resting place, as it puts you through grueling tests—over and over—causing to fear that it will get the better of you.  Yet, by sheer perseverance, willpower, and determination, you ‘get better’ through this formative process. 

“Once the chrysalis has become too tight for the growing pupa, it has to break through it in order to survive.  It emerges under a new version of itself, in need of a new name— “Butterfly”—and vested with previously unsuspected superpowers: Indeed, it can fly! Its colorful wings lift it up to a brand-new experiential domain!

“Dear ones, there are many times during your earthly life when it seems that the walls are closing in all around you, suffocating you, and triggering acute symptoms of claustrophobia.  View them as being a necessary part of your spiritual metamorphosis, driving you to break through them, thus birthing you into your next developmental stage.  In hindsight, doesn’t it all make sense?
