“Remember, even if prayer does not change God, it very often effects great and lasting changes in the one who prays in faith and confident expectation. Prayer has been the ancestor of much peace of mind, cheerfulness, calmness, courage, self-mastery, and fair-mindedness in the men and women of the evolving races.” [UB 91:4:5]

Thought Adjuster: “It is not for lack of rudimentary knowledge that your planet is experiencing unfortunate setbacks in inaugurating its benevolent era of light since the minimalist tenants of the Golden Rule have been espoused by most world religions. It is for lack of love-in-action driven by selfless and soul-felt prayers.

Jesus spelled it all out for the benefit of all generations. He gave you the access code to your inner kingdom so that, when you devote yourself to make it flourish, it becomes incrementally reflected on the outer through the collaborative efforts of those who diligently attend to their spiritual homework:

  1. Treat others as you want to be treated
  2. Pray for your enemies

“If you truly desire to overcome the habit of criticizing some friend, the quickest and surest way of achieving such a change of attitude is to establish the habit of praying for that person every day of your life.” [UB 91:5:3]

By taking Jesus’s practical advice to heart, you will soon witness a positive inner metamorphosis. You will learn to interact with challenging individuals with empathy and compassion instead of instantly retaliating in kind to what you are quick to interpret as declarations of hostilities.

Your practice field is the here-and-now. Instead of wishing ill to befall these irritating individuals, why not pray for their highest good? By doing so, you are certainly promoting the planetary highest good—a precedent set with flying colors by the human Jesus who ever-remained open-hearted.

Selfless intercessions on behalf of those the now-obsolete version of you would have prematurely written off as irredeemable will become the catalysts of mighty conversion experiences—all-around positive inner transformations, as love, empathy, and compassion are what each neglected soul is crying for. The divinely-orchestrated redemption process is certainly not a lost cause—as it would be an oxymoron.”
