“Is the love of truth and the willingness to go wherever it leads, desirable?  Then must man grow up in a world where error is present and falsehood always possible.”  [UB 51:09]

Teacher Uteah: “One of the most crucial lessons that life in your world is imparting you is discernment.  The more confusion there is, the more opportunities there are for you to make ‘better-informed’ choices.

“As your life unfolds, it seems that the severity of the challenges you encounter is continually stepped up—like in your fancy video games where you gain access to the next level of difficulty only after ‘beating’ the previous one.

“Indeed, Mastery cannot but occur one difficulty level at a time.  It is so because you are acquiring the necessary skills at each developmental level to tackle on—and hopefully ‘beat’—the next more-advanced one.  You may fail at your first attempts, but eventually, you will hone your skills and fly through levels that initially appeared unconquerable.

“As you strive to resolve relational challenges, look at them in the same manner.  Only the quitters do not get to harvest the fruit of painstaking perseverance by failing to ‘beat’ the ‘level of discouragement’—a stepping stone toward rewarding endeavors.

“By overriding your despondency, you are pushing an emotional ‘reset button’ and refocusing on your pure intentions.  Do you think the Father will deny success to those who keep doing their best?

“You know by now that your ‘best’ is not static either.  Your best as a child would be coined as ‘mediocre’ if you settled for that in your adulthood.  As you ‘better’ yourself, you set a new personal record to beat.  It is a blessing, not a curse.  It is a reason to be grateful—not to complain.

The Earth School is a Master Program—the School of Self-Mastery.  Every challenge is a doorway toward the acquisition of more Self-Control and Mastery.  The way human beings evolve—rung by rung up the ascension ladder—makes them the envy of higher realms where Truth, Beauty, and Goodness are the daily fare."
