“The happy and effective person is motivated, not by fear of wrongdoing, but by love of right doing.”  [UB 1572:06]

Thought Adjuster: “Those who live in fear or act out of fear cannot possibly be happy. Fear is both a stressor and a downer and, therefore, a highly improper motivator. It is frequently used as a means to control individual or mass consciousness through coercion or abject emotional black-mail.

“On the other hand, love is an effervescent emotion. Under its umbrella, many selfless acts take place, which results in all-around happiness, as everyone reaps valuable benefits from its generous proactivity.

“Indeed, the happy and productive person is motivated by love, which, for the best reason, is the most-coveted emotion. Unconditional love reigns at the top of the emotional ladder, while fear festers around its bottom rungs.

“Each one of you has had first-hand experiences of the draining tug-of-war between these two opposite driving forces. Acting out of fear may provide you with temporary relief of tension, but it does not rid you of anxiety. Sooner or later, it will rear its ugly head and bully you into submitting to its cruel will.

“How do you alter such a dysfunctional emotional pattern? How do you move on from fear to love? By gathering your courage. Courage is what breaks your dependency on fear. It is the assertion of YOUR free-will. Haven’t you experienced how good it feels to say ‘No’ to fears, turning your back on them to ponder more attractive options as to how to live a more fulfilling life?

“Courage also makes you significantly grow in self-respect. No longer victimized by fear, you yield to your inner calling to be Love-in-Action. It is the reason why joy rides on the coattail of this potent activation.

“Go within to examine the driving forces in your life. Whenever you identify a clutter of fear, take remedial action, and it will lift you out of this emotional quicksand. Not only will you experience a positive emotional makeover, but it will also benefit your physical wellbeing.”
