WHICH COLOR IS YOUR VOCABULARY?

WHICH COLOR IS YOUR VOCABULARY?

Words are sonic vibrations encoded with meanings.

They pop up in our mind, clothed in a vast array of hues

In which the paintbrush of our tongue is generously dipping

To set a tone, evoke a mood, and sometimes sing the blues.

If we could only visualize the colors of our spoken words

We would be more attentive as to which ones pass our lips.

Mean words are dark projectiles, shaped like snakes or swords,

Intentionally inflicting harm with their sharp tongues or pointy tips.

Spoken with a condescending attitude,

Words can trigger cataclysms of an emotional magnitude.

They run havoc in many lives, bursting open in their wakes

Many unguarded floodgates; their force is that of an earthquake.

Their victims scream in anguish, having lost their composure.

Resentment, their bastard offspring, is in great need of a lecture.

Sweet words are pastel in color and, when strung in a sentence,

They form a delightful spring bouquet, bringing joy through its fragrance.

Each expression has its own designer perfume based on its inner essence:

Violet #5 is the earmark of Shyness; Orange#2 is bubbly effervescence.

The word 'Love' is bright red, and it makes its recipient blush.

This should help you differentiate from the knock-off scent of 'Lust'

Whose color is quickly fading as it was dipped in rose water…

I think that, by now, you get the jest. No need for me to go further.
