“But there is no excuse for the involvement of the church in commerce and politics; such unholy alliances are a flagrant betrayal of the Master.”  [UB 195:10]

Thought Adjuster: “On your world, many religions are overstepping their spiritual boundaries and meddle in politics and commerce without giving it a second thought. Thus doing, they defect from their higher spiritual calling. It has become so ‘normal’ that many ‘religionists’ have become hardened political crusaders.

“Jesus stated unequivocally that man cannot serve two masters, as, by doing so, he becomes conflicted in his allegiances. It is not something to brush away lightly. It is heavy in consequences.

“Commerce and politics are ‘of this world.’ They deal with earthly affairs and are subject to ebbs and flows. The focus of spirituality is both ‘in’ and ‘out of’ this world. It equips you to deal with life challenges, provides you with a spiritual education that shapes your moral character and makes you travel-worthy for your long-distance journey through eternity.

“From this perspective, you should understand what should be your top priority. The Father’s Will IS the practical application of the Golden Rule. By living up to this spiritual standard of doing unto others what you wish they would do unto you, the remaining areas of your life fall into place naturally, thus having an inspirational impact on the remaining facets of human living.

“What is the best investment for your earthly time quota? Will you be prepared when the alarm goes off, and the hour comes for you to move on to your next destination? It is a fundamental question to ask yourself NOW so that you won’t join in the downtrodden chorus of those who land on the other side, disoriented and filled with regrets. “If I knew then what I know now…”

“Instead of wishing you had lived differently, why don’t you follow the practical leadings of Jesus while on earth? He IS the way and, as such, He walked a straight line, ever putting His Heavenly Master first and refusing to get entangled with the passing things of this world.”
