“Man’s wisdom grows out of the trials and errors of human experience….” [UB 4:3:4]

Thought Adjuster: “Why do you think Jesus chose to incarnate in human form?  How else could the human experience become relatable to Him—close and personal?  What a vote of confidence on His part to be willing to fully partake to the human experience—not as an aloof observer, but an emotionally involved parental figure!

“What about you? How do you feel about your human experience when it turns out to be anything but ‘a walk in the park,’ taking you through many treacherous and grueling passages?

“Despite the many hardships He had to endure, Jesus kept an upbeat attitude.  He could not expect humankind to God-victoriously stomach severe setbacks without demonstrating the do-ability and viability of such a courageous expedition through the ups and downs, the blessings and vicissitudes of the human condition.

“The Son of God became the Son of Man—one of you.  His wisdom would have been limited, and His psychological grasp of the complexity of the human condition would have been merely intellectual, had He not partaken in person to the human experience.

“Your wisdom does grow from your trials and errors.  Jesus acquired wisdom through His trials but never erred.  One can also ‘wizen up’ by pondering the tragic consequences of other’s unfortunate decisions.  They can act as proxies to help you break through some ceilings of misunderstanding.

“Jesus unquestionably relates to what you are going through.  His heart overflows with empathy and compassion toward you.  He KNOWS firsthand of the excruciating difficulties many of you endure and, on the momentous day of your resurrection in His Presence, He will welcome you open-armed and open-hearted with a resounding 'Well done!'
