“Pray only for values, not things; for growth, not for gratification.”  [UB1002.05]

Thought Adjuster: “Much of import is contained in the above statement.  Indeed, this world is in need of higher understanding as to what an effective prayer life consists of.  Surely, you do live in a material world that requires the basic needs of your body to be met.  This is catered by the material side of your reality—the food you eat, the air you breathe, the water you drink, the sun rays that give you light, warmth, and Vitamin D, and so much more.  These elements should be available to all, without any discrimination.

“However, as a consequence of the Lucifer rebellion, what should have been equal opportunities have become unequal opportunities and many of the world citizens cannot meet these basic survival needs.

“Yet, from the perspective of your potentially eternal soul, your survival requirements essentially depend on the acquisition of the values of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness and your evolution toward their embodiment.  This is when you become ‘godlike’ and fit to ascend toward higher experiential realms.

“This is the reason why you should pray for values and for growth.  Things and the gratification of your physical senses are ephemerous.  Focus on what is eternal and, by doing so, you can be assured that you are turning your life into a success story—no matter how much or how little you have in your bank account.

“Whenever you pray, remember that you pray to Spirit.  As such, Spirit will lead you in spirit and wisely assess how to respond to your prayers so that your spiritual needs are met.  Sometimes, meeting your spiritual needs involves meeting your physical needs as well, and the answer will naturally encompass that ‘down-to-earth’ level of your existence.  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33  Doesn’t it make perfect sense? »
