“Man’s greatest spiritual jeopardy consists in partial progress, the predicament of unfinished growth: forsaking the evolutionary religions of fear without immediately grasping the revelatory religion of love. [UB, 99:4.8]
Thought Adjuster: “Search, and you shall find; ask, and you shall receive.” Jesus’ pronouncement will never become stale, as it directs you to ever freshly-baked loaves of spiritual bread. All you have to do is show up at the table loaded with diversified offerings that will, indeed, feel a multitude according to their special dietary needs.
Some of you may suffer from spiritual malnutrition if raised in a fanatical or fearful environment that introduced them to the wrong way to approach the Divine. Whenever they ‘dared’ question the shaky foundation of their spoon-fed belief system, fear-driven elders perceived it as a threat. Their scolding repartees were of the ‘because-it-is-so’ or ‘you-of-little-faith’ type. No wonder many of these tender souls became allergic to such unpalatable indoctrination. Yet, if processed correctly, their natural aversion and emotional trauma may become catalysts for spiritual rebirth.
Deplorably, the tragic blows they received prompt many disheartened souls to call it quit and write off spiritual nutrients altogether, thus depriving their embryonic soul of the ‘real stuff.’ Never forget that, just as He provides a diversified, palatable array of ethnic foods to feed your body, the Father certainly lives up to His culinary reputation when He caters to the appetites of your soul.
