“Progress demands development of individuality; mediocrity seeks perpetuation in standardization.”  [UB 557:13]

Thought Adjuster:  Let us talk about the never-ending curve of progress in your life.  What do I mean by never-ending?  By your very nature as an evolutionary creature, you are meant to evolve—to progress.  What does such a progress consist of?

“There is, of course, the natural growth curve of your physical body.  As you grow stronger, you become able to perform a greater variety of tasks, since your body is an amazing instrument equipped with many complex features, in some way comparable to the famous Swiss army knives, the trusted tool of adventurers around the world, thanks to its many practical blades.

“Yet, your physical development is just the foundation of your progress.  How do you progress mentally, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, and more?  Progress requires the intake of adequate nutrients at all these levels.  Your mind has to be fed in order to thrive.  Your intellect has to be stimulated by your innate curiosity in order to lead you to acquire greater knowledge and understanding.  As well, your emotional progress is defined by the quality of the emotions you entertain.

“Emotionally speaking, progress occurs when you increasingly master your emotions, disabling those who are debilitating and promoting those who are propelling you toward a life filled with passion.

“Yet, as you well know, your physical embodiment will come to its natural end.  What would be the point of your hard-earned progress if it ended with the dissolution of your physical vehicle?  Nothing in the universe is ever wasted.  Be assured that there are infinite personal progress opportunities waiting for you when you emerge on the other side of the veil.  Rather than being intimidated by such a progressive curriculum, focus on what each present moment has to offer that distinguishes itself from the ‘ordinary’.  Indeed, ‘mediocrity seeks perpetuation of standardization’.  It does not yield any excitement and results in a very dull life experience.  All of you have been created for greatness and, yet, many of you are far from being convinced of that fact, as they live in a society that sadly promotes uniformity rather than diversity, thus putting a damper on your imaginative powers.

“Dear ones, get in touch with your individuality, as therein is the key to your success.  You are not a replica.  You are not a mindless automaton.  You are a child of the infinite and all-powerful God—a God with a boundless imagination. Such a God is a progressive God as well, as His Vision for all His creatures is grandiose and who you are at this point of your development pales in comparison with who you will become once you wholeheartedly embrace the Divine plan for your life.”
