In the days of Jesus, the most unassuming souls who exhibited an unpretentious frame of mind and heart were the most receptive to the innovative and positive message of His gospel.  

"Humility is a master key to the Kingdom of Heaven and stands in stark contrast with the superiority complex exhibited by those who are prideful—both in their human associations and their relationship with the Divine. Such a misguided superiority complex does not stem from their spiritual achievements through selfless service but rather from a wrongful claim to an elevated spiritual status—not earned, but handed out to them by heredity or special appointment. 

“Such self-coined spiritual leaders need to be aware and beware of the stumbling block of pride while steering away from the misguided and dangerous adulation of their peers—just as Jesus did.  “Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone.  [Luke 18:19]

“Genuine spiritual leaders are defined by their humility. Period. They never lord themselves over others. Instead, they lower themselves to their level to lift them to the next level of spiritual achievements. They forever espouse the servant status, as it is what each destiny is about: To serve the Great Plan and, by doing so, to harvest the soul dividends that arise from such devoted and selfless service—the fruits of Spirit.”
